We are delighted to announce that one of our learners received an award in the first ever Liverpool City Region Learner of the Year Awards. Amani, who attended our Pre-Employment NHS Workshop, was Highly Commended in the Health & Wellbeing Category.

It’s a fully deserved title for a learner who overcame multiple barriers to gain several qualifications with us before securing an Admin Assistant’s role within a local NHS Trust.

“I am extremely thankful for your nomination, support and assistance! This means a lot to me and will give me confidence and recognition to enhance my career moving forward.”Amani

The Liverpool City Region Learner of the Year Award celebrates the achievements of adult learners across our region. It recognises individuals who have shown exceptional commitment, resilience and success in their studies, highlighting the impact of learning on both personal and professional growth.

Councillor Marion Atkinson, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Portfolio Holder for Employment, Education and Skills and Leader of Sefton Council, said: “We are ambitious about upskilling the city region’s workforce and this year made the largest investment yet into adult skills training – almost £60m. Our adult education budget traditionally supports more than 30,000 students with 75% from disadvantaged areas so it is great that we celebrate the achievements of our inspirational learners and providers.”

Congratulations to Amani, from everyone at Crosby Training.
